Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using the services of Allstate Movers, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and moving services.
Our Services
Moving Services Provided
- Interstate and long-distance moving services
- Packing and unpacking services
- Storage solutions (short-term and long-term)
- Specialty item moving (pianos, artwork, antiques)
- Moving supplies and materials
Service Limitations
- Services are subject to availability and scheduling
- Certain items may be restricted or prohibited for transport
- Weather and road conditions may affect delivery schedules
- Additional fees may apply for special circumstances
Booking and Payment Terms
Booking Requirements
- Written estimate and signed contract required
- Deposit may be required to secure booking
- Accurate inventory information must be provided
- Changes to booking may incur additional fees
Payment Terms
- Payment due upon completion of services
- Accepted payment methods: cash, check, credit card
- Additional charges for extra services
- Late payment fees may apply
Customer Responsibilities
Before Moving Day
- Provide accurate inventory and special requirements
- Secure necessary permits and approvals
- Prepare items for packing (if not using packing services)
- Arrange for utilities disconnection/connection
On Moving Day
- Be present during pickup and delivery
- Verify inventory and condition of items
- Provide clear access to residence
- Remove personal and valuable items
Liability and Insurance
Coverage Options
- Basic Coverage: Minimum liability coverage as required by law (60 cents per pound per item)
- Full Value Protection: Comprehensive coverage for repair, replacement, or cash settlement
- Third-Party Insurance: Additional insurance options available through external providers
- High-Value Items: Special coverage available for items over $100 per pound
Claim Process
- Claims must be filed within 9 months of delivery
- Written notice required with supporting documentation
- Items must be inspected and damage noted on delivery receipt
- Settlement negotiations will be conducted in good faith
Prohibited and Restricted Items
For safety and legal reasons, certain items cannot be transported:
Prohibited Items
- Hazardous materials and chemicals
- Flammable liquids and gases
- Explosives and ammunition
- Perishable food items
- Live plants and animals
- Personal documents and valuables
Restricted Items
- Firearms (with proper permits)
- Alcoholic beverages (state restrictions apply)
- Prescription medications
- Jewelry and precious metals
- Important documents
- Cash and financial instruments
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellation by Customer
- 48+ hours notice: Full refund of deposit
- 24-48 hours notice: 50% cancellation fee
- Less than 24 hours: Full cancellation fee
- Same-day cancellation: No refund
Rescheduling
Moves may be rescheduled subject to availability. Rescheduling fees may apply for changes made within 72 hours of the scheduled move date.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will be resolved through:
- Direct negotiation between parties
- Mediation through a neutral third party
- Binding arbitration if mediation fails
- Legal proceedings as a last resort
All disputes will be governed by the laws of the state where services were contracted.
